The right sort of chicken and dumplings are the kind of that Brandon’s grandmother makes. They are the kind of you get at Cracker Barrel. They are true southern style, and they also don’t now have dumplings, it’s a lot more like slabs of tender and delicious biscuit dough. You could think ones as really big, thick noodles. There are no silly items like vegetables in here, it’s just chicken, chicken stock and dumplings. Period. You can eat your green beans and fried okra on side such as real Southerners do. Every single time we head to Cracker Barrel, that’s what Brandon gets. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. And you know that’s usually hard to fulfill because I’m sure Cracker Barrel makes those actions with lard and crack cocaine like the rest they serve. I kid, I love Cracker Barrel, lard and all sorts of! That’s why I was so thrilled to find this recipe.
